When to go

The major resorts on the Turkish Riviera are open all year. Temperatures in the Turkish Riviera coastal resorts average a maximum of 16° Celsius during the winter months from December to March but can rise to the low 30's during the summer peak season.

Alanya Cleopatra beach is mainly what attracts visitors to the part of the Turkish Riviera. It offers the usual facilities and is lined with plenty of friendly bars, tea-houses, cafes and restaurants. In the old town you find many old houses, towers and mosques, as well as a nice small harbour.

The Damlatas caves were discovered in the late 1940's purely by mistake when they were blasting to make way for the new harbour. They have now become one of the most visited attraction in Alanya. There are three caves in total and boat trips from the harbour are a nice way to see them but you can also visit them on foot. The inside of the caves has a constant temperature of 22-23° Celsius and humidity level of more than 90 %. They are said to be good for sufferers of asthma and other respiratory problems and an early morning session is set aside solely for sufferers. The caves are open between 10am & 6pm daily throughout the year.

Antalya Konyaalti Beach is mainly what attracts visitors to the part of the Turkish Riviera. It offers the usual facilities and is lined with plenty of friendly bars, tea-houses, cafes and restaurants. In the old town you find many old houses, towers and mosques, as well as a nice harbour.

Local coach trips are very cheap and a great way to see the real Turkey. The Kursunlu waterfall is 30km away, Manavgat waterfall is 35km and Aspendos is 20km away. All are worth a visit.

Mini-City Antalya: This attraction makes an ideal break for families and a great way to see miniatures of the outstanding architectural work of art of the Anatolian civilizations of thousands of years coming from antique ages till today. The park is open daily from 9am.

Dedeman Aquapark was first built in 1993 and was the first waterpark in Turkey. It was enlarged in 1998. With its natural beauties, rich water activities and Mediterranean charm, we believe that it has something mysterious and different from others. There are 23 slides at Water Planet, which are designed for all ages, will boost adrenalin to the maximum level. There are the usual eateries, changing rooms and gardens that you would expect to find.

Dolphinland and Aqualand: Dolphinland, the first dolphin show center of Turkey invites you to our incredible performance consisting of Mila and Melina our white whales, Alisia and Suera our dolphins and Susha our sea lion, where you can also swim with the dolphins. Singles, couples, groups and families are welcome for the experience of a lifetime.

Belek The luxury hotels in Belek offer so much to do you're unlikely to venture outside the gates. If you need to venture outside then your hotel will be able to offer a range of coach tours or even hire you a car if coaches aren't for you. There are some interesting "must sees" for history buff's during the daylight hours. The main attraction is the ancient Roman Aspendos Coliseum by day or by night as the coliseum is still in use providing quality entertainment.

Kemer There's much to see in this fascinating region, not to be missed are Yoruk Park an amazing view on how the Turks lived several hundred years ago. The remains of Phaselis are within easy reach and the rock tombs at Myra near Demre are just down the road, where you'll find the Church of St Nicholas, patron saint of children and the original Santa Claus. Water sports are very popular in Kemer and you can enjoy parasailing, windsurfing, surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, water-skiing and jet-skiing. You can also hire pedaloes. 

Sea Wild Divers: Not everyone associates Turkey with diving but Kemer offers some interesting dive sites. Sea Wild Divers offers everything from starter courses from the age of 10 years upwards and a wide range of courses even for advanced divers.

Lara The luxury hotels in Lara offer so much to do you're unlikely to venture outside the gates. If you need to venture outside then your hotel will be able to offer a range of coach tours or even hire you a car, if coaches aren't for you. 

The region around Lara offers sights of astonishing natural beauty as well as awesome historical remains. Visitors can walk behind the cascade, a thrilling experience, at the Upper Düden Waterfalls, 14 km northeast of Antalya. On the way to Lara Beach, the Lower Düden Waterfalls plunge straight into the sea. The nearby rest area offers an excellent view of the falls and the view is even more spectacular from the sea.

Side Side is a jumble of old and new, with an extensive range of tourist accommodation, shops, late-night bars and restaurants mixed in among the ruins of the ancient city. In the centre of town is the magnificent 2nd-century theatre with beautiful views towards the sea, and the remains of the Roman Baths houses an impressive collection of artefacts. Busy streets that lead down to the sea are lined with souvenir shops selling typical Turkish handicrafts like carpets, jewellery and leather goods.
